The untold number of politician-led scandals and dismal policy failures that have unfolded in this state over the past decade are a startling reminder that South Carolina needs new leadership.
One place politicians have excelled is in lining their own pockets and ignoring infrastructure needs while allowing the state to bleed red ink:
It's time for serious change in South Carolina.
Why is the state holding more than 8 billion of our tax dollars while communities go without —and why do we pay the highest income tax rate in the Southeast?
Something has happened to our state in the last 25 years – something you won’t read about in the paper or see on the news because the political establishment in Columbia doesn’t want us to know they have sold us out--they don’t want us to know that our government--that which belongs to us--has been broken, has been corrupted, and has been rigged by large for-profit corporations in order to serve their own self-serving financial interests.
For 25 years Republicans have controlled the house, senate and the governor's office. How are we doing in vital areas during their tenure?

We not only CAN do better ... we MUST do better!
South Carolina relies on individual income tax to carry the burden of Columbia's spending because for 25 years large for-profit corporations have been the priority and given massive tax breaks while small businesses and individuals have been the tax revenue source.
For every dollar we pay into the system, for-profit corporations pay a dime and get everything they want. That is what corruption looks like. The corruption hurts us and benefits them.

In order to end political corruption we must return the way we govern ourselves to faith-based principles. If we govern ourselves using common sense, faith-based principles then money and greed cannot corrupt.
We cannot stop large for-profit corporations from trying to rig our system of government because greed is a bottomless pit. We can, however, prevent them from corrupting our system by electing servant leaders and showing politicians the door.
The power of democracy is "We the People" can beat all the world's gold combined and we can beat it for free. All we have to do is elect public servants who agree to serve our interests according to these covenants:
There is no trust more sacred than the public’s trust. The people of South Carolina require that you check your own self-interest at the door and that you do their bidding and their bidding only – that means every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Transparency is the foundation for the public’s trust. It is a complete and total commitment to transparency whether you like it or not. Information is not a privilege it is a right and it belongs to we the people.
If you want to represent the people of South Carolina, you must be willing to be accountable to the very people you serve. No more excuses, no more deflecting, no more pointing fingers – if we are going to fix what is broken you must be honest with the people you serve about what is broken and what needs to be fixed.
No more fraud, waste and abuse. If you want to represent the people of South Carolina you are required to treat their hard-earned money with the respect it deserves. For every dollar paid into the system that is not spent for the public good that dollar is to be returned to the taxpayer on or before March 15 of each year.
